父母早期教育參與對(duì)子女未來學(xué)業(yè)成績(jī)的影響——基于TIMSS2015香港數(shù)學(xué)與科學(xué)數(shù)據(jù)

摘要: 父母的教育參與對(duì)子女學(xué)業(yè)發(fā)展的作用不容忽視。本研究使用2015年TIMSS香港數(shù)據(jù),探究父母在子女入學(xué)前的早期教育參與對(duì)子女后期數(shù)學(xué)、科學(xué)成績(jī)的影響。結(jié)果顯示,在控制了性別、移民、家庭學(xué)習(xí)資源等背景因素及子女自我概念后,父母早期教育參與對(duì)子女未來數(shù)學(xué)、科學(xué)學(xué)業(yè)成績(jī)具有積極影響。父母應(yīng)消除關(guān)于數(shù)學(xué)與科學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)的性別刻板印象,為學(xué)前子女提供豐富的數(shù)學(xué)和科學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)活動(dòng),并切實(shí)提高自身對(duì)STEM教育的認(rèn)識(shí),為子女后續(xù)學(xué)業(yè)發(fā)展奠定良好的家庭基礎(chǔ)。 Family education plays an important role in the development of children. As the first teacher of their children,parents' education participation in children's academic development shouldn't be ignored. The current study used Hong Kong secondary data from TIMSS2015 survey to investigate whether parental educational involvement in the earlier childhood can enhance children's mathematics and science achievement in 4 th grade. Results showed that after controlling for gender,immigration,and family learning resources variables,parental earlier education involvement had positive significant effects on children 's mathematics and science achievement at 4 th grade. The results suggest that parents should overcome gender stereotypes in family education,provide pre-school children with rich mathematical and scientific learning activities,and enhance their understanding of STEM,so as to lay a good family foundation for their children's follow-up academic development.
