摘要： ThenuclearreceptorspregnaneXreceptor(PXR)andconstitutiveandrostanereceptor(CAR)wereclonedand/orestablishedasxenobioticreceptorsin1998.DuetotheiractivitiesinthetranscriptionalregulationofphaseIandphaseIIenzymesaswellasdrugtransporters,PXRandCARhavebeendefinedasthemasterregulatorsofxenobioticresponses.ThediscoveryofPXRandCARprovidestheessentialmolecularbasisbywhichdrugsandotherxenobioticcompoundsregulatetheexpressionofxenobioticenzymesandtransporters.ThisarticleisintendedtoprovideahistoricaloverviewonthediscoveryofPXRandCARasxenobioticreceptors. （共3頁）
